Dr Sandile Shabangu, who is popularly known as StartupGuy and consistently relevant in the youth business and entrepreneurship space for over 15 years, is awarded with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Dubai.
The 33-year-old Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker and Founder of Startup Mzansi, born Sandile Shabangu, launched his first startup in 2008 and he remained a Founder and Startup Creator since. He has since also ventured into the People, Education, Technology and Entrepreneurship sector, where he is equally making a name for himself.
Sandile Shabangu posted a photo of himself being awarded on social media, as well as the invitation of him to be a Distinguished Delegate of Honour, at a Leadership Summit workshop, where he was also presented with an Honorary Doctorate Degree.
Dr Sandile has also been previously invited to speak at the prestigious World Youth Forum in Egypt in 2018-2019 organized by the Government of Egypt as well as Africa Investment Forum held in Sharm El Sheik. He also partnered with the Annual Investment Meeting organized by the UAE Ministry of Economic Affairs to help Startups in South Africa. He has also been dubbed a Top Young Entrepreneur in the World by Smaller Earth in 2011, one of South Africa's Brightest Young Minds in 2013 and National Youth Service Champion by the National Youth Development Agency in 2015.
Whilst this accolade is not an academic PhD, this honorary doctorate conferred is for celebrating the work done by Sandile Shabangu as an entrepreneur and his immense contribution to the business world and society at large.
